Produce your own program

Once you’ve been trained and certified, you’re ready to sign out equipment and start your project. Fill out a Production Contract and you're on your way.

Volunteer for a production

An easy way to gain production skills is to crew for BCTV productions or for another producer’s show. You can also sign up to cover an event that has been requested by a community member or nonprofit organization. Staff will assist you with equipment choice and planning. 

Be a local sponsor for a program produced elsewhere

If you have a program you'd like to sponsor for cablecast on either of BCTV's channels, review our Program Content Rules, fill out a Cablecast Request Form and deliver the program to BCTV.

Request a Volunteer Producer

Looking for someone to record your event? BCTV can facilitate this process. We always recommend finding a motivated volunteer from your organization who is willing to be trained as a producer. To request a volunteer producer, submit a Production Request at least two weeks prior to the event date.
